Qualified Maths Teacher

Location: Central Manchester
Contract Type: Full Time, Long Term Cover
Salary: Paid in line with the national pay scale (MPS/UPS)


About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and committed Maths Teacher to join an Outstanding secondary school in central Manchester for a long-term cover position. This role offers the chance to work in a high-performing school with excellent facilities and a strong reputation for academic success. You will play a key role in delivering high quality teaching and learning, inspiring students to achieve their full potential in Mathematics.


Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Teaching & Learning: Deliver well-structured, engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, ensuring all students are challenged and supported.
  • Assessment: Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and implementing interventions where necessary.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting high standards of behaviour and respect.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Maths department and wider school team to share best practices and resources.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics.
  • Ability to differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
