Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2026 (or sooner by negotiation)

A thriving secondary academy in St Leonards is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join its successful Mathematics department. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious teacher to inspire and motivate students across Key Stages 3 and 4 within a supportive and forward-thinking school environment.

We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to begin their teaching career in a school committed to professional development and staff wellbeing.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Plan, prepare and assess lessons that support excellent student progress.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can succeed.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Mathematics curriculum.
  • Support the wider life of the academy through pastoral and extracurricular activities.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics education.
  • High expectations of student achievement and behaviour.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
