Maths Teacher (Maternity Cover) – Secondary School (Gorton)

A welcoming and high-achieving secondary school in Gorton is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to cover a maternity leave starting in September.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated and supportive team, delivering high-quality maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 students. The successful candidate will have strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management skills, and a passion for helping students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging maths lessons across KS3 and KS4

• Monitor and assess student progress in line with curriculum and school policies

• Contribute to the department’s collaborative planning and resource sharing

• Provide a supportive and inclusive classroom environment

• Participate in parents' evenings, departmental meetings, and wider school life

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

• Experience teaching maths in a secondary school setting

• A strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks

• Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills

• Commitment to maintaining high expectations for all students
