Location: Buxton
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 annually
Contract: Flexible – Short Term and Long Term Supply Opportunities


About the Role

Teaching Personnel are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable maths teacher to work in secondary schools across Buxton and the surrounding areas. This opportunity is ideal for both experienced teachers and ECTs/NQTs looking to gain valuable classroom experience, develop their teaching practice, and make a real impact on students’ learning.

As a maths teacher, you will deliver engaging and challenging lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, helping them build confidence with mathematical concepts and problem‑solving skills.


Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Inspire students to develop strong numeracy and analytical skills.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support the school’s ethos and contribute to student progress and achievement.


Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Passion for inspiring young people to succeed as a maths teacher.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
