Job description

A well-regarded mainstream secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join their successful department on a full-time basis from April 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking school with a strong commitment to high standards, academic achievement and inclusive education. The successful candidate will join a supportive and collaborative Maths department that is passionate about delivering engaging and challenging lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The ability to teach Key Stage 5 would be advantageous but is not essential.

The school is looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds QTS (or equivalent recognised teaching qualification)

  • Has experience teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4

  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics

  • Can plan and deliver creative, well-structured lessons that inspire and challenge learners

  • Has high expectations for behaviour and achievement

  • Is committed to contributing to the wider life of the school

Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners are both encouraged to apply. The school offers strong departmental support and ongoing professional development opportunities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
