Maths Teacher - Bolton

Are you a qualified Maths Teacher looking for an exciting new challenge within a high achieving school in Bolton from September 2018?

  • Maths teaching position (KS3 & KS4)
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS £22,917 - £38,633 depending on previous teaching experience
  • Must hold QTS - Delivering Maths across the full age and ability range
  • September 2018 start date
  • Ofsted rated 'Good' school based in Bolton
  • 12 month temporary position with a view to be taken on permanently following the initial period

Our client school wish to appoint a Maths teacher ahead of the new academic year in September to fill a gap that has been recently left within their Maths department from a member of staff being promoted to the Senior Leadership Team. You will be employed initially for 12 months on a temporary basis however if successful during the initial period, there will be an opportunity to be employed by the school on a permanent basis.

As a Maths teacher at our client school, you will be teaching the full Maths curriculum to students aged 11-16 ranging in ability up to GCSE level. You will be responsible for a full teaching timetable which will require you to prepare and plan your own lessons as well as complete marking responsibilities.

The school are looking for a forward thinking Maths teacher who will stretch the learning capabilities of students no matter what their ability, and someone who will help contribute in the push to become an 'Outstanding' school. In the schools most recent Ofsted report, it was highlighted that the teachers used praise and humour in an effective way and that it helped to keep students engaged. With this in mind, the school wish to appoint a teacher with a similar style of teaching.

Our client Secondary school is a smaller than the average-sized secondary school with around 850 pupils on roll. The school is located just a few miles from Bolton train station and can be accessed via the M60 and M61which makes for good access from surrounding areas Bury, Salford, Manchester and Wigan.

The school wish to meet with Maths teachers over the Summer break and would ideally like to appoint a teacher before their staff induction days in August.
