Maths Teacher- Full Time- After Easter- B36, Birmingham

An opportunity has come up to work at a supportive and thriving mainstream secondary school based in the B36 area of Birmingham. 

The school are seeking a qualified, enthusiastic and experienced teacher of maths to join a dynamic and successful maths department. Boasting the highest GCSE results within the core subjects last academic year, the maths department are on an upward trajectory and now are looking to expand!

Ideal Person Specification:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) 

- Recent, relevant experience teaching Maths to a high standard in a UK secondary school

- Strong behaviour management and ability to control a classroom

- Experience working with challenging behaviour

-Excellent school-based references

 

Job roles/responsibilities:

- Plan a variety of maths lessons to a high standard, following the criteria outlined by national curriculum

- Deliver maths lessons to a high standard, supporting the learning and development of all pupils

- Cater lessons to suit the individuality within each class, ensuring you differentiate activities

- Communicate effectively with staff, pupils and parents

- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, condusive with student's learning and development

- Ensure you abide by schools policies and procedures at all times, remaining commited to safeguarding

 

Finer Details:

- Location- Birmingham, B36

- Start date- April 2026

Rate of pay- To scale

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
