Role: Maths Teacher

Pay: ÂŁ90-ÂŁ130 dependent on experience

Location: Bridgend

Start: February 2018

Maths Teacher needed for one of our large Bridgend Secondary Schools. The role is to cover a Maternity in the faculty- This post will last until the end of the academic year.

The school is located in Bridgend with easy transport links off the M4.

What the school are looking for in the Maths teacher:

  • To Teach KS3&4 on a regular basis with the ability to teach KS5 desirable as A-Level lessons may be incorporated into the timetables
  • Improving standards is a primary focus across all keys stages. The successful Maths teacher will acknowledge the schools plan and implement it in their classrooms
  • The school has highlighted a specific need to raise the C/D borderline success rate in the summer exams and the successful Maths teacher will work closely with the school and ensure the target is achieved
  • Strong Behaviour management skills are imperative as you will be required to teach all abilities across the age ranges
  • Highly organized and passionate Maths teacher that will be able to capture and keep pupils attention by using original teaching methods on a daily basis

A requirement of working with Teaching Personnel is being registered with the EWC and an enhanced Disclosure and barring Service certificate which must be on the update service - Full assistance provided throughout registration.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
