Maths Specialist - Primary Teacher

We are looking for a Fully Qualified Primary Teacher who specialises in Maths to take on a full-time, KS2 Teaching Position for September. The position is teaching a mixed year 3 and 4 class at full capacity, and is set to run for 2 full terms with the opportunity of becoming permanent. The school are conducting interviews within the coming weeks, and will also expect an observed maths lesson to be taught to the class which will both engage the pupils as well as educate them.

The class you will be teaching is a mixed ability class in which the majority of pupils are struggling to meet the schools expectations in maths; therefore the school require a specialist Teacher to improve the overall levels of the pupils.

The school is large, 3 form entry, and received an overall 'Good' rating from OFSTED. You will also have the additional support of a Qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant who will be raising attainment, and working 1:1 alongside pupils who require additional support.

Ideal applicants will also be required to:

• Support children with challenging behaviour
• Have their own transport
• Have a professional level of classroom management skills
• Possess Extensive knowledge of the curriculum
• Be able to motivate and encourage primary school children to learn
• Engage and motivate pupils by making classes interactive and stimulating

As a class teacher, the school will expect you to re-enforce the schools behaviour policy at all times, as well as maintain a high level of classroom management in order to ensure all pupils are focused on the work that you set.
