Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a reputable Primary School located in PRESTON to recruit and appoint a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to primarily deliver interventions to Key Stage 2 pupils in Maths. The role is full-time and is to start from Monday 4th September In order to be successful in your application, you must be a graduate in Mathematics or a similar subject and have confidence in teaching children from 7-11years.

The post entails providing general classroom support from 09:00-12:00, which may include but is not limited to:

-          Meeting and greeting pupils.

-          Record keeping and other administrative tasks.

-          Leading small group learning activities based upon the class input delivered by the teacher.

-          Supporting small groups and/or individual pupils in their independent tasks.

-          Accurately assessing pupils’ understanding and achievement of the lesson learning objective.

-          Classroom management.

From 13:00-15:30, you will be required to:

-          Plan and deliver additional sessions to small groups of pupils in KS2 based upon areas of their Maths learning where they are working towards or below the expected standard for the year group and time of year.

-          Accurately assess pupils’ understanding and achievement of the learning objective.

-          Achieve excellent progress in pupils’ attainment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
