Maths Graduate - Teaching Assistant - North Manchester

Are you a recent Maths graduate looking to work within a secondary school? Would you like to gain paid classroom experience?

Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside one of our 'Good' client secondary schools in North Manchester who are looking to employ a Maths graduate on a full time basis as a Teaching Assistant in the Maths department until the end of the year in the first instance. This highly exciting opportunity is due to start as soon as possible, with an immediate start available for the ideal candidate.

  • Full time Teaching Assistant in the Mathematics department
  • 'Good' secondary school located in Oldham
  • Earn between £270-£325 per week (dependent on experience)
  • Immediate start with the post continuing until the end of the academic year
  • Potential for role to continue into September

Our client 11-16 academy is located in the Watersheddings area of Oldham, North Manchester and has an excellent reputation within the local community. The school is accessible through a number of public transport links, as well as being a short drive from the M60 Outer Ring Road.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Maths department, you will be utilised throughout the GCSE exam period for a number of different roles. These will include working with small groups of students who have been identified to be on the borderline of key levels including level 4/5 borderlines and 7/8 borderlines. These interventions will be key to students performing to their highest ability and ultimately achieving their full potential. The role will also entail supporting the class teacher to deliver key examination content, ensuring that all students in the classroom are being targeted to ensure they are following and understanding key aspects of the curriculum.

"To be able to achieve social equality together, our aim is to deliver a curriculum experience that will ensure students are career and life ready as a result of teaching through our shared values, beliefs and behaviours." Principal.
