Teaching Personnel is working with a number of supportive secondary schools across Newcastle to recruit enthusiastic Maths Graduate Teaching Assistants for September 2026. Whether your goal is to become a qualified teacher or simply gain hands-on experience in education, this role provides the perfect foundation.

Your Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging one-to-one and small-group Maths interventions that help students build confidence and improve attainment.
• Support classroom learning by working closely with experienced teachers.
• Encourage students to develop problem-solving, reasoning, and analytical thinking skills.
• Provide tailored support for pupils with additional needs, including SEN and SEMH.
• Build positive relationships that motivate students to engage with learning.
• Celebrate progress and help students overcome barriers to achievement.
• Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment where every student can thrive.
