Teaching Assistant
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Pay: £90–£100 per day (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-Time
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistants to work in secondary schools across Newcastle upon Tyne.
Whether you are a recent graduate looking to gain classroom experience, someone considering a future in teaching, or an experienced Teaching Assistant seeking a fresh opportunity, this role offers the chance to make a genuine difference in young people’s education.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting students aged 11–16 both academically and emotionally within the classroom environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons
- Assisting with classroom and behaviour management
- Providing one-to-one and small group support
- Helping students stay focused, motivated, and confident in their learning
- Encouraging positive participation and promoting an inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for individuals who are:
- Passionate about education and supporting young people
- Patient, adaptable, and confident communicators
- Able to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable, but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
