Are you a Maths graduate looking to progress into a career in the education sector? If you are you a recent graduate of a Maths related subject then see below for an opportunity within a secondary school.

Our client secondary school is looking for a full time Maths graduate to start with them in September assisting within their Maths department. The successful graduate of Maths (or accounting and finance or a related subject) will be working within a large Maths department supporting students who aren't quite secondary ready and are in need of Numeracy/Maths support.

To that end, the school will be able to support the successful Mathematician with enrolment onto a Numeracy Enrichment Programme. This is a fixed term position for a year in the first instance with the possibilities endless following a successful year as a Maths TA. The successful Maths TA will be fulfilling this role in supporting year 7s at the beginning of the academic year. As the year progresses, towards December, the focus will switch to supporting the year 9 and 10s in light of the mock exams and then into the new year, the successful Maths graduate will be supporting year 11s preparing for their GCSEs. The appointed Maths graduate should therefore be academic and consider themselves a subject specialist who is proficient up to GCSE level Maths.

The school is situated in the South Manchester area making it very easy to get to for graduates living in the city centre or on the outskirts via public transport. For those that drive, the school has a very large on site secure car park as well as the latest resources and equipment within the school.

The school prides itself on making learning fun and engaging whilst ensuring that students get the most out of their education. The successful Maths graduate will therefore be coached on how to provide engaging intervention and making learning as enjoyable as possible. There will be access to online resources and the latest IT equipment to support any teaching taking place.
