Job description

Maths & English Tutor – Radcliffe (M26)
Make your teaching experience count where it matters most.

Are you a qualified teacher or experienced tutor with a passion for helping young people succeed in Maths and English? We’re looking for compassionate and committed tutors in the Radcliffe (M26) area to support pupils who are currently not in mainstream education.

This role involves delivering 1:1 tuition to children and young people, typically in their homes or in local settings such as libraries. The pupils may be out of school due to anxiety, behavioural needs, medical issues, or other barriers—and your role will be to guide them back on track, both academically and emotionally.

It’s meaningful work that gives you flexibility, autonomy, and the chance to focus on quality teaching without the pressures of a full classroom.

You’ll work with learners across a range of ages, from Key Stage 2 up to GCSE level. Many will need support building their confidence and catching up with key concepts in Maths and English. Your ability to adapt, be patient, and deliver engaging sessions will be key to their progress.

In return, we offer:

  • £25–£30 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)

  • Flexible hours between 8am–4pm, Monday to Friday

  • Regular, local work within Radcliffe and surrounding areas

  • Weekly pay through PAYE

  • A dedicated consultant to support you with placements

  • Access to additional training and CPD if desired

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
