Our client secondary school in the central Manchester area is looking to recruit a male PE teacher to join their PE department at the start of the new academic year. The successfully appointed male PE teacher is required for a full time, long term PE teaching position as a result of an open vacancy. The successful male PE teacher will be teaching the majority of practical lessons with some theoretical aspects so any experience of teaching PE at both levels is desirable.

This is a full time PE teaching position initially for the academic year but given the nature of the open vacancy in this department, the school are looking for a permanent appointment of a passionate PE teacher.

Key aspects of this PE teaching role:

  • Pay ranging between £100 - £150 per day depending upon experience and payscale
  • Initially for the 2019/2020 academic year with the view to progressing onto a school based contract
  • Full time male PE teaching position starting September 2019
  • Centrally located, Manchester based secondary school with a highly supportive senior leadership team

This secondary school is a mixed secondary school but require a male PE teacher to join them in September. The school are encouraging applications from male PE teachers of any experience level including NQT and more experienced teachers. The school is more than happy to support a NQT with their induction if applicable.

The male PE teacher will be running PE sessions as directed by the PE department and have the use of the fantastic sports facilities on offer at this school. The school is housed in a relatively new building with access to a range of sports facilities. If you are a PE teacher with any experience of teaching another subject, please make this known on your application as this could set you apart from other applicants.

The school is located in the central Manchester area, very easily accessible via the central Metrolink or local buses. For those who drive, the school has plenty of car parking spaces in their on site secure car park as well as parking in the local residential area. The school is easily accessible via car by the A57 and M60 ring road as well as A627 which travels near to this secondary school.
