Salary: £13.75-£14.50 / hour.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant with Makaton expertise to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Croxteth (L13). This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children who benefit from alternative communication methods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils using Makaton
• Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
• Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
• Track and report on pupil progress and development

Requirements:

• Experience using Makaton in an educational or care setting
• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting children
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A relevant TA qualification or equivalent experience is desirable
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
