Primary School Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Teaching Personnel, the leading education recruitment agency in the UK, have been approached by an ‘OUTSTANDING’ school in Preston to help advertise for a Teaching Assistant role to start ASAP. The length of this position is long term.
This role offers itself as both fantastic opportunities to gather some classroom experience for an NQT who is looking to get back into the classroom following their placements or a strong TA who is comfortable with course cover should the Teacher be out.
Details of the role:
Supervising both year 5 and 6 classes, the role will include general classroom supervision, along with small group work, carrying out intervention sessions in reading, writing and maths. The Head Teacher has also stressed that there is possibility that this role may include the odd full-class supply responsibility, on the condition of the Teacher assuming other responsibilities. As a result of this, it is crucial that the successful applicant should be strong and confident to carry out full-class supervision.
Requirements for the candidate:
- Must hold a level 3 TA qualification or hold NQT status
- Must have a DBS on update service
- Must have a recent safeguarding certificate
- Should have at least 6 months TA/teaching experience
The Head teacher is also keen to find someone who is able to develop a positive relationship with the KS2 class Teachers in order to work successfully together.
Teaching Personnel are shortlisting CV’s now so please register your interest as soon as possible to be considered.
Apply via the apply now button.
Other benefits of registering with Teaching Personnel:
Teaching Personnel have recently partnered with The St. Patrick’s Centre and The Shared Learning Trust to provide CPD (continuous personal development) training. These involve new courses which are all delivered via Zoom between 4pm – 5:30pm. The upcoming course ‘Understanding extreme behaviour to overcome barriers to learning’ already has many candidates signed up who wish to further their knowledge and skill set to optimise their credentials for further employment. The price of each course ranges from £15 - £20 and each attendee will be recognised with a personal certificate. If these external courses are an attractive proposition, please feel free to contact us regarding these upcoming opportunities.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
