Position: Level 2 & Level 3 Teaching Assistants
Hours: Full-time, 8:30am-15:30pm
Contract: Permanent / Long-term opportunities available
Start Date: Immediate / September 2026

We are looking for enthusiastic, caring and committed Teaching Assistants to join supportive school environments and make a real difference to children and young people's learning and development.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other education professionals to support pupils in reaching their full potential. Duties may include:
- Supporting pupils with their learning on a 1:1 and small-group basis
- Assisting with classroom activities and interventions
- Supporting children with SEN and additional learning needs
- Helping to create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
- Encouraging pupils' confidence, independence and engagement
- Working collaboratively with teachers, support staff and parents/carers
- Supporting pupils' social, emotional and academic development
We Are Looking For
We welcome applications from candidates who have:
- A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Previous experience working with children or young people
- A genuine passion for supporting children's education and development
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A patient, nurturing and positive approach
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- A full driving licence and access to a vehicle, as some schools may be in rural locations around Towcester
Experience supporting pupils with SEN, autism, SEMH or communication needs would be advantageous.
