Position: Level 2 & Level 3 Teaching Assistants

Hours: Full-time, 8:30am-15:30pm

Contract: Permanent / Long-term opportunities available

Start Date: Immediate / September 2026

Are you a qualified Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding full-time opportunity in the Towcester area?

We are looking for enthusiastic, caring and committed Teaching Assistants to join supportive school environments and make a real difference to children and young people's learning and development.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other education professionals to support pupils in reaching their full potential. Duties may include:

  • Supporting pupils with their learning on a 1:1 and small-group basis
  • Assisting with classroom activities and interventions
  • Supporting children with SEN and additional learning needs
  • Helping to create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Encouraging pupils' confidence, independence and engagement
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, support staff and parents/carers
  • Supporting pupils' social, emotional and academic development

We Are Looking For

We welcome applications from candidates who have:

  • A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Previous experience working with children or young people
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's education and development
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A patient, nurturing and positive approach
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle, as some schools may be in rural locations around Towcester

Experience supporting pupils with SEN, autism, SEMH or communication needs would be advantageous.
