Position: Level 2 / Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Start Date: Immediate
Pay Rate: £89.44 - £100 per day
Location: Wigan, WN1
Contract Type: Full time, Temporary (With the opportunity to transition into a permanent position)

An “Outstanding” rated primary school in Wigan is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team. The school prides itself on creating a warm and inclusive environment, where children are supported to achieve their very best through respect, care and high expectations. Conveniently located just off the A577, the school is well connected by local public transport.

What we are looking for:

• A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience).
• An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
• Previous experience supporting children within a school-based setting.
• A caring and approachable nature, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils.
• Confidence in assisting with learning activities across the curriculum.
• Willingness to provide both one-to-one support and small group interventions to help children progress.

The role will include:

• Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
• Helping to create a positive learning environment in which all pupils feel safe and valued.
• Assisting children with their social, emotional and educational development.
• Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and provide targeted support.
