Job description

About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a confident and experienced educational practitioner to work as a Lesson Supervisor in a secondary school in Hastings. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about education and classroom management, who can confidently lead lessons in the absence of the regular teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects to secondary school students
  • Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
  • Manage student behaviour in line with school policies
  • Ensure students remain engaged and on task throughout the lesson
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience working in a secondary school setting
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Confidence leading a class independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to teaching and learning

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Relevant experience in education (e.g. teacher, cover supervisor, HLTA, or similar)
  • Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
