Lesson Lead

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a large, well-established secondary school in Hastings to recruit a committed and enthusiastic Lesson Leader. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced educator or aspiring middle leader looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and forward-thinking school environment.

About the Role

As a Lesson Leader, you will play a key role in driving high-quality teaching and learning across your subject area. You will support staff development, contribute to curriculum planning, and help ensure all students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across your subject specialism
• Support and mentor teaching staff to improve classroom practice
• Monitor student progress and implement strategies to raise attainment
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Work collaboratively with senior leadership and wider school staff

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Proven experience teaching in a secondary school setting
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for education
• Demonstrated leadership skills or readiness to step into a leadership role
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
