Lecturer in Construction, Scarborough

As the Recruitment Consultant for a Scarborough based Post 16 Provision, I am seeking Hull a Construction Lecturer to become part of their Education lecturing team.

This will be a supply placement to begin with, with plenty of opportunity for a permanent or fixed term contract directly through the College.

As a Lecturer of Construction you will play an essential part in the success of both FE and HE students through:

  • Preparation, delivery, assessment and verification of subject specialisms on a range of courses and levels
  • Leading curriculum design of HE provision within the Construction department and across the Construction disciplines including higher apprenticeship programmes
  • Supporting and guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential, managing students learning to provide a high quality learning experience
  • Contributing pro-actively to developments in curriculum development and innovative teaching
  • Leading projects on employer engagement specifically relating to HE curriculum needs
  • Participating in marketing and promotion activities to support a range of programmes and learning opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to teach on a variety of Construction pathways and successfully teaching a diverse range of students using a range of different approaches, alongside the following qualifications:

  • Degree in a relevant Construction discipline
  • CertEd or a willingness to achieve
  • GCSE English & Maths at Grade A-C or equivalent

Job Title: Construction Lecturer

Salary: ÂŁ31,200 - ÂŁ39,000* based on Full Time (Pro Rata)

Start Date: November 2018 (start date can be negotiated for the ideal lecturer)

Location: Scarborough
