Teaching Personnel are pleased to be recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant in a Salford PRU for pupils aged 11-14. Pupils from this school usually have a diagnosis of Social, Emotional or Mental Health needs. The ideal candidate for this role would be someone with

• A commitment to helping vulnerable young people
• The ability to stay calm in difficult situations

Most pupils have had a disrupted school life and fall below the expected learning levels for children of their age nationally, so the school is actively seeking someone to assist and nurture these pupils during these important years. The school has an excellent team of mentors, a family liaison coordinator, a senior youth worker, form tutors and TA's to support you during your employment.

Your role at the school would be to assist the class teacher and possibly support other TA's in the room throughout the school day. Your main duties will include helping pupils with their work, assistance in group work activities, providing an alternative environment for the pupils to work to promote the pupils progress and help them reach their full potential.
