Learning Support Assistant needed at a Secondary school near Hounslow - full time position in September - £65 to 75 a day

A highly rated secondary school is hiring LSAs for September with experience working with children with SEN

Requirements

  • No specific qualifications required
  • LSAs would need 6 months experience working with children with SEN, specifically autism and ADHD
  • Able to travel to Hounslow on a daily basis
  • Available to start in September and work in a full time basis for the 2019/20 academic year
  • You will need to apply for an Enhanced child workforce DBS, on the update service

The position

  • This is a learning support assistant position
  • Start date in September
  • Full time position for the 2019/20 academic year
  • Pay rate between £65 and £75 a day depending on experience and education
  • Located near Hounslow

You will be required to help secondary students with special educational needs, working on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. The successful applicant will be working with an SEN provision in a mainstream school. Depending on how the SENCO evaluates your experience and skills, you may be paired with a specific student, to help them throughout the year, or be working within a classroom helping students and supporting the learning of multiple children.

The school

  • This is a highly rated secondary school with an SEN provision within the grounds
  • The senior leadership have ensure training is provided for staff members who would like to develop their skills, especially in the SEN department
  • It is located near Hounslow and is easily accessible via public transport, but does also have viable parking
  • Ofsted recently rated the school as good, stating that the senior leadership have worked hard to ensure that children with SEN develop at the same pace as mainstream students
