We are working on behalf of a ‘Good’ secondary school in Newcastle to recruit for a Learning Support Assistant to start in April 2020 with multiple pupils across KS3 – KS4.

The ideal candidate:

• Have experience working with children and young people with SEN
• Have a confident and friendly personality
• Remain calm in stressful situations
• Show a genuine interest of working with children and young people

The successful Support Assistant will support student in class across the subject areas, and may deliver targeted interventions on a 1:1 basis during lessons and break times. The school are looking for someone to start after Easter until the end of the summer term.

The school is located in Newcastle and currently has over 1000 pupils on roll. Students are well behaved and the school prides it self on its inclusive and caring atmosphere. This combined with the SLT’s continued commitment to the performing arts, sports and a wealth of extra-curriculars ensures all learners are fully supported and challenged to achieve their potential.
