About the School and the Job for the PMLD LSA role:
Teaching Personnel are looking for a PMLD LSA with experience working with a range of SEN difficulties. If you are looking for work in the Chelmsford area and would like to make a positive difference to student’s lives then we would love to hear from you.
- We are looking for LSA’s to work in a Chelmsford based special provision for students with a range of complex difficulties including PMLD.
- This is initially a years contract but could lead to a permanent role for the right candidate.
- The provision is for further education students who are 17 years and older.
Contract Details for the PMLD LSA role:
- Location – Chelmsford
- Position – PMLD LSA
- Type of work – Supporting students with PMLD
- Start date – Immediately
- Contract type – Temporary
- Full time/part time – Full time, Monday to Friday, 8.45am - 3.15pm
- Minimum rate of pay – GBP65 per day (GBP10ph)
Experience, Training and Qualifications required for the PMLD LSA role:
- Previous LSA experience is desirable, ideally within the SEN Sector, although this is not essential providing you have the right attitude and desire.
- Experience supporting either children or adults with SLD / PMLD.
- Pro Active in the classroom and a willingness to join in with class activities.
- You should have lots of energy and enthusiasm with a positive attitude towards working with SEN students.
- Comfortable supporting students with personal care
To be eligible for the PMLD LSA role through Teaching Personnel you must:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child or child and adult barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional references
