Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant who is looking to further develop your experience in specialist SEN provisions?

Do you have experience either in school environments or working in care/hospital settings with young people who present with complex SEN needs?

We are looking for Teaching Assistants with the following skills and experience:

  • Experience with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, Severe Learning Difficulties, Speech and Language Difficulties, Autism and Physical Disabilities
  • Experience can be gained in any environment e.g. Schools, Hospitals, Domiciliary Care, Residential Care
  • Anyone with PEG feeding training, Medication training, Makaton, PECS, Moving and Handling training or experience with personal care
  • Confident to deal with extremely complex and vulnerable young people who may be non-verbal
  • Extremely nurturing and sensitive in their approach, and patient when dealing with young people who may have severe communication difficulties
  • Experienced working with electronic communication aids

The role of a Teaching Assistant will involve supporting the children on a small group and 1:1 basis, supporting the class teacher with managing behaviour
