Learning Support Assistant

Job description

We are currently looking for Learning Support Assistants for a school in Cranborne, who cater for children aged 11-16 years with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs including Anxiety. Many of the young people are also on the Autistic Spectrum. 

Working hours are Monday- Friday, 09:00 - 15:00. We can consider applicants with full time and part time availability. For part time, you must be able to work the full school day and can work between 1-4 days a week.

The ideal candidates will:

  • Have lots of patience, be proactive and resilient-this role can be very hard work, but also very rewarding
  • Be experienced working with young people or adults who have mental health difficulties or Autism
  • Have excellent numeracy and literacy skills (A-C Grade) GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Have access to a vehicle as the school is not accessible by public transport

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
