Enthusiastic, resilient, and compassionate individuals required to work at a SEN school in Cranborne who cater for students between the ages of 11-16 with autistic spectrum conditions including Asperger’s syndrome, social and emotional difficulties, anxiety disorders and mental health needs.

This special needs school provides person-centred Key Stage 3 and 4 study programmes leading to employment or further education and independent living.

Students are supported to make positive life decisions, work towards gaining qualifications and employability skills for their chosen careers.

They offer a varied curriculum with academic core subjects such as English, Maths, Sciences, Humanities, Art and Photography up to GCSE level, as well as vocational subjects including horticulture, animal care, motor vehicle engineering and digital IT.

As our Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting students not only with their education but also with their emotional needs and behavioural challenges. In school, you will carry out a range of duties, supporting all elements of learning from basic life skills through to academic achievement and personal development.  

Full time and part time applicants will be considered. 

The school is not accessible by public transport, so it is essential you have access to a vehicle.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
