Teaching Personnel work closely with a School based close to the Accrington area, East Lancashire. The School is smaller than average and caters exclusively for KS1 / 2 pupils with SEMH Difficulties, Autism, ADHD, Learning Difficulties and those with challenging behaviours. The pupils' who attend this school struggle to remain in mainstream education and are quite often disengaged from learning.
The role will be full time and you will report to your Teacher in class. Your role will be to support the teacher in effective learning in class whilst assisting with behaviour management. You'll also be expected to work on a 1:1 or small group basis with pupils who struggle to engage and find ways of differentiating their classwork for them, to assist with their learning. The school hours are 8.25am - 3.15pm Monday - Friday and on ocassion, you will be expected to assist with open evenings or parents evenings.
The candidate suited to this role will ideally come from a background in education or youth work. You will be empathetic, resilient, compassionate and hard working. You must hold strong behaviour management skills whilst being able to build rapport with pupils who are often from troubled backgrounds.
The pay for this role will be GBP65 - 75 per day dependent on exact roles, responsibilities and your experience.
