An SEN school in Croydon is looking to take on another Learning Support Assistant to support young children with SEN (including Autism and profound and multiple learning difficulties), challenging behaviour, social emotional and mental health issues. You must be a passionate individual with experience working with young people in or out of a formal school setting.
Desired backgrounds include Sports (coaching), Psychology, Youth Work, Art and Design and Music and training such as Team-teach Positive Intervention is desirable but can also be offered through us.
TO be considered, You must have:
- Experience working 1:1 with SEN pupils
- DBS on the updated service
- 2 excellent references from previous employers
- Experience with ASC, MLD, SLD and PMLD
- Team Teach trained is beneficial
- Confidence with PECS, Makaton & TEACH is a plus
There are also opportunities for further training and career development.
The school is rated 'good' by Ofsted, with the staff being praised for creating a positive environment where children can learn and grow socially as well as academically.
The school hours are 8:30am - 4pm, term time only.
There is on-site parking and strong transport links.
