About the Role
As a Permanent Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside experienced teachers to provide outstanding support for pupils with additional learning needs.
Grade 14 - £13.05-£13.47 per hour - Your pro rata gross starting basic salary will be approximately £18,915 per annum.
Every day is varied and rewarding, involving:
• Supporting pupils individually and within small groups.
• Encouraging communication, confidence and independence.
• Delivering learning activities tailored to individual abilities.
• Promoting positive behaviour through encouragement and consistency.
• Assisting with literacy, numeracy and creative learning opportunities.
• Helping pupils achieve personalised learning goals.
• Providing personal care and physical support where required, following training.
• Working closely with teachers, therapists and families to ensure every child reaches their potential.
• Preparing learning resources and creating an engaging classroom environment.
• Accompanying educational visits and supporting enriching experiences beyond the classroom.
Who We're Looking For
Someone who brings enthusiasm, patience, motivation and a positive outlook every single day.
You should enjoy building relationships with children, work brilliantly within a team, remain calm under pressure and always strive to bring out the very best in every pupil.
Experience working with children is essential, whether within education, youth work, care, sports coaching, nurseries or similar settings.
SEND experience is advantageous, but your attitude, commitment and willingness to learn are just as important.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
