Learning Support Assistant (SEN Required)
Location: Totton
Pay: £13.75 per hour
Hours: 8:45am - 3:15pm
Contract: Term Time Only
Working Pattern: Full-Time (Part-Time Considered)

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to work in a supportive school setting in Totton. This role is term time only and is ideal for candidates who have strong SEN experience and are passionate about supporting young people with additional needs.

 

About the Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Special Educational Needs

  • Support students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and associated learning needs

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons

  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation

  • Help maintain a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment

 

Requirements:

  • Essential: Previous SEN experience (school, care, youth work or similar setting)

  • Confident supporting children with additional needs

  • Patient, resilient and adaptable

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
