Job description

Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant Required

Location: Surbiton

Start Date: September 2026

Interviews: Scheduled for the week commencing Monday 6th July

We are currently working with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Surbiton.
They are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team for the upcoming academic year.

This is a full-time position starting on Wednesday 2nd September 2026.
They offer an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with additional needs.

Who we’re looking for:

We welcome applications from candidates with previous experience supporting children with special educational needs.
Graduates in Psychology or Criminology who are interested in pursuing a role within the education sector are also encouraged to apply.

  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • A good understanding of SEN, including autism, ADHD and learning difficulties

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
