Teaching Personnel are currently representing a school in the S5 area of Sheffield who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support a child on a 121 basis for a part time role (0.6 FTE). In the first instance, this will be up to Easter but could be extended beyond.
The school benefits from a new school building and resources and has a high intake of pupils who speak English as an additional language. You will be expected to work alongside the class teacher; supporting the delivery of engaging lessons and delivering small group tailored intervention to bridge any gaps in learning. There may be opportunities to deliver Nurture sessions for small groups of children, or lead sports activities.
Our ideal Teaching Assistant;
- Experienced supporting children with EAL
- Happy to work on a 121 basis or support small groups
- Experienced working in Primary settings
- Familiar with age related expectations in Primary settings
- Able to support with Nurture interventions
