Do you have current or recent experience supporting adults or young people with social, emotional and mental health difficulties or learning disabilities?
Teaching Personnel are recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work with Primary and Secondary aged pupils with Special Needs. Your main task will be to engage children in stimulating activities and ensure they receive the highest standard of care in a safe and professional environment.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in planning and implementing educational plans and activities
- Provide individualized support to pupils
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies
- Support students with daily tasks, including personal care if needed
- Collaborate with the class teacher to assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and behaviour
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational or childcare setting
- A knowledge and understanding of special education principles and practices
- Strong communication skills
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with children
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic classroom environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
