Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: Hedge End, Southampton
Hours: Full-time / Part-time

We are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our supportive and welcoming team in the Hedge End area of Southampton. This is an exciting opportunity for an LSA who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development.

The successful LSA will work closely with class teachers, SEND staff and other professionals to support pupils both in the classroom and through targeted one-to-one or small group work.

Key Responsibilities of the LSA:

• Supporting pupils’ learning across the curriculum as an LSA
• Providing one-to-one and small group support as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), including for pupils with SEND
• Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
• Helping to create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
• Supporting pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural development in the role of LSA

We are looking for an LSA who:

• Is patient, caring and reliable
• Has strong communication and teamwork skills
• Is committed to the role of Learning Support Assistant (LSA) and making a positive difference
• Has experience working with children (school-based experience desirable but not essential)
• Is willing to undertake training relevant to the LSA role

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
