We are seeking a committed, adaptable, and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join welcoming and inclusive schools in Hedge End and West End. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning, development, and wellbeing within nurturing, community-focused environments. Both full-time and part-time positions are available.
About the Role:
- Previous experience supporting children in a school or similar educational setting, including experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- A patient, positive, and empathetic approach to learning, behaviour, and emotional support.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Flexibility to support a range of learning needs and adapt to different classroom settings.
- Reliable, enthusiastic, and proactive in supporting all learners.
- A relevant qualification such as Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning is desirable, though not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support, particularly for pupils with additional or special educational needs (SEN).
- Support teachers in delivering inclusive, engaging lessons that promote progress, confidence, and independence.
- Assist with the preparation of classroom resources and maintain a positive, stimulating learning environment.
- Promote pupils’ wellbeing, positive behaviour, and emotional development.
- Work collaboratively with the wider school team to ensure a safe, caring, and inspiring learning experience for every child.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
