We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and proactive individual who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development. This exciting opportunity is for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join one of our welcoming and inclusive primary schools in the Southampton area.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

• Experience supporting children in a primary school or similar educational setting.
• A positive, patient, and empathetic approach to learning and wellbeing.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Flexibility to adapt to different learning needs and classroom environments.
• Reliability, enthusiasm, and a proactive attitude.
• A relevant qualification such as Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (desirable but not essential).

Your Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional or special educational needs.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons that inspire all learners.
• Help prepare resources, support classroom activities, and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing, supporting pupils’ confidence and independence.
• Contribute to a safe, caring, and stimulating school environment where every child can thrive.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
