Are you a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant looking for flexible work in a lovely local primary school?

We are working closely with a friendly, welcoming primary school in the BS49 area that is seeking a flexible Learning Support Assistant to provide general classroom support in Year 1 on a part time basis. You may occasionally be asked to support in other classes which is ideal if you enjoy variety. You can choose the days you work, making this perfect if you are looking to balance work with other commitments.

The Role

- Support teaching and learning in a Year 1 class in a nurturing, inclusive environment
- Be flexible and happy to support in other year groups when needed
- Work with groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning and promote progress
- Assist with preparing resources and supporting planned activities
- Help maintain a calm, purposeful classroom with positive behaviour management
- Work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to ensure continuity for pupils
- Contribute positively to the warm, community focused ethos of this lovely school

What We Are Looking For

- Experience working with children in a primary school setting
- Confident supporting learning in Year 1 with a willingness to work across other classes
- Patient, nurturing and able to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
- Good communication skills and a proactive, flexible approach
- Learning Support Assistant qualification or relevant experience highly desirable
