Learning Support Assistant – Part-Time – Bournemouth Primary School
Inspire and Support Young Learners with Special Educational Needs
We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant for a part-time role in a specialist primary school in Bournemouth.
This school, which supports children aged 5 to 11, is known for its nurturing environment and commitment to meeting the individual needs of pupils with special educational needs (SEN), including those with behavioural and emotional challenges.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will become a trusted figure in the classroom, encouraging positive behaviour and helping learners access the curriculum at their own pace.
Your Role and Responsibilities

Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups throughout the school day

Help manage behaviour and promote emotional regulation through positive strategies

Assist the teacher with lesson delivery and classroom organisation

Work collaboratively with the wider team, including SENCOs and therapists

Provide a consistent and compassionate presence for pupils who may face barriers to learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
