We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant for a part-time role in a specialist primary school in Bournemouth.

This school, which supports children aged 5 to 11, is known for its nurturing environment and commitment to meeting the individual needs of pupils with special educational needs (SEN), including those with behavioural and emotional challenges.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will become a trusted figure in the classroom, encouraging positive behaviour and helping learners access the curriculum at their own pace.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups throughout the school day

• Help manage behaviour and promote emotional regulation through positive strategies

• Assist the teacher with lesson delivery and classroom organisation

• Work collaboratively with the wider team, including SENCOs and therapists

• Provide a consistent and compassionate presence for pupils who may face barriers to learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
