Learning Support Assistant

Location: Basingstoke

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work in primary schools across Basingstoke. This is a fantastic opportunity to support young learners and make a real difference at a crucial stage of their education.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties

  • Working 1:1 or in small groups to help pupils access the curriculum

  • Supporting classroom teachers with learning activities and behaviour management

  • Providing emotional and social support to help pupils develop confidence and independence

  • Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children (school-based experience desirable but not essential)

  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • A genuine passion for supporting young children and SEN pupils

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
