About the Role
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a number of primary schools across the Basingstoke area and is seeking committed and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistants. You will be supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), either on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, helping them to engage with learning and thrive in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities

Provide tailored support for pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties

Assist pupils with classroom activities and learning tasks

Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to follow individual education and support plans

Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
Requirements
-
Previous experience supporting children with SEN is desirable
-
A patient, caring, and flexible approach
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills
-
A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
-
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through Teaching Personnel)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
