Learning Support Assistant – Secondary SEN

Pay: £13.75 per hour

About the Role
Teaching Personnel is recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work in secondary SEN schools across Basingstoke. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people with additional needs during their secondary education.
Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 or small group support to secondary-aged pupils with SEN
-
Support students with autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and social, emotional, or behavioural needs
-
Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
-
Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and independence
-
Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Requirements
-
A patient, resilient, and supportive approach
-
Experience working with young people or SEN is desirable but not essential
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills
-
Ability to work flexibly on a full-time or part-time basis

Willingness to complete safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
