Learning Support Assistant – Harrogate (HG)
£90–£105 per day
Full-Time | Long-Term | Temp-to-Perm Opportunities
We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming and inclusive SEN provision in Harrogate. The school provides specialist support for pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH).
Your Role:

Support students on a 1:1 and small group basis, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and engaged.

Help pupils access learning through differentiated support and adaptive communication strategies.

Assist with personal care, moving & handling, and sensory regulation activities when needed.

Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and pastoral teams.
Requirements:
-
Previous experience in a school, SEN, or care setting.

Child & Adult DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Reliable, empathetic, and confident supporting pupils with complex needs.

Moving & Handling or Team Teach training desirable (training can be provided).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
