Learning Support Assistant - Graduate Role

Location: Bristol (multiple locations available)
Pay: £92–£105 per day
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time (Monday–Friday) | Term Time Only


If you are about to graduate, and are looking to start a rewarding career working with children and young people please read on. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in education starting at the beginning of the academic year in September.

We are looking for enthusiastic graduates who are finishing their studies this year or already graduated, with full-time availability (5 days per week, Monday to Friday). We currently have multiple roles across Bristol. 


The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils
  • Support children with behaviour, engagement, and emotional regulation
  • Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities
  • Build positive relationships and act as a role model
  • Gain experience across mainstream, SEN, and SEMH settings

Ideal Degree Backgrounds

We welcome graduates from a wide range of disciplines, including:

  • Education
  • Psychology
  • Criminology
  • Social Work
  • Sociology
  • Childhood Studies
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Speech & Language Therapy
  • Sports Coaching / Sports Science

If your degree involves working with people, behaviour, or development, your skills are highly transferable.


What We’re Looking For

  • Final-year students or graduates ready to start in September 2026
  • Availability to work 5 days per week (term time only)
  • Passion for working with children or young people
  • Strong communication and resilience
  • Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain)
  • Interest in careers such as teaching, educational psychology, social work, or youth work

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
