The Role - Learning Mentor

One of our client schools are looking to appoint a highly ambitious Learning Mentor to join them as soon as possible. This Learning Mentor opportunity is for a candidate that would like to utilise their educational skills by assisting pupils in their learning and development. The appointed Learning Mentor should be willing to commit to the role and be able to engage students in creative lessons. Ideally the Learning Mentor will be open to working alongside teachers to help raise pupil's attainment across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. There are a number of opportunities to develop your professional portfolio, with courses such as Team Teach, Autism Awareness and Child Psychology available to you.

The School - Alternative Provision in York

This is an OFSTED graded Good School that provides education for students unable to access, or that have been excluded from mainstream Schools. As a Learning Mentor, you will be working with small groups and on a 1:1 basis to provide additional support in specific areas with young people.
