Are you passionate about supporting young people with SEMH needs? Teaching Personnel’s partner SEMH secondary school in Exeter is looking for a dedicated Learning Coach to join their team and make a real difference.

Job Details:

  • Start Date: January 2026
  • Contract Type: Full Time, Temporary to Permanent
  • Pay: £90 - £100 per day (based on experience)
  • Employer: Teaching Personnel

About the Role:
Our partner school in Exeter offers specialized education for students with SEMH, Autism, and complex learning needs. As a Learning Coach, you will provide academic, emotional, and behavioural support to help students succeed.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic support and assist with assignments
  • Help students develop study skills, time management, and organization
  • Offer emotional support and encourage positive behaviour
  • Work with teachers to implement personalized learning plans
  • Track student progress and provide feedback
  • Foster independence and self-confidence in students

What We’re Looking For:

  • Passion for supporting young people with SEN
  • Education or care experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong communication skills, patience, and resilience
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with students
