The Headteacher at a school in the Blackburn area is seeking to appoint a Teacher of MFL in January for the Spring and Summer Term. The position is to cover a resignation within the MFL Team through for this academic year and they will be seeking to make a permanent appointment from September 2020.
The MFL department deliver French and German up to GCSE and A-Level. The timetable will include up to GCSE level provision, however, for the candidate who is appointed on a permanent basis there will be the opportunity to deliver KS5 languages. The department is highly regraded in school with consistently excellent results. The School is first choice in the area for many incoming year 6 and year 11 pupils, they are consistently oversubscribed.
With a forward thinking vision for the school there is considerable investment into staff CPD and the school is looking to appoint a motivated individual who is keen to develop their own Teaching and become a consistently “Outstanding” practitioner. For NQT applicants there is an extensive induction programme available. In the schools most recent Ofsted inspection they achieved ‘Good’ with a number of areas in school displaying the potential to be ‘Outstanding’.

- Hold Qualified Teacher Status
- Specialise in delivering French and/or German
- Be able to reach the Blackburn area
- Be available to start in January 2020
