KS3 Land & Environment Teacher / Forest School Lead

Contract: Part‑time (minimum 3 days per week)
Salary: Teachers’ Pay Scale (dependent on experience)
Start Date: To be agreed

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic KS3 Land & Environment Teacher / Forest School Lead to join a forward‑thinking educational setting. This role offers the chance to deliver a practical, engaging curriculum for pupils aged 11–14, combining classroom teaching with outdoor, land‑based and Forest School learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high‑quality KS3 curriculum learning through environmental and outdoor contexts
  • Work collaboratively to develop a progressive Forest School and land‑based programme
  • Inspire pupils through hands‑on, experiential learning
  • Support inclusion, wellbeing, and positive behaviour
  • Maintain excellent standards of health & safety and safeguarding

Person Specification

We are looking for someone who has:

  • QTS or relevant KS3 teaching experience
  • Forest School Level 3 qualification (or willingness to undertake training)
  • A passion for outdoor learning, sustainability, and land‑based education
  • Strong behaviour management and inclusive practice
  • Experience working within SEND/SEMH or alternative provision (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
